Many banks have their own search pages allowing you to search their inventory of bank-owned properties. Although most of these do show up on the appropriate local Multiple Listing Service (MLS), I receive frequent requests from clients wanting to search on their own just in case they are missing something good out there. I have compiled this list of banks with REO or bank-owned property searches and linked to them for you.
Although some of these sites do give the contact information for the listing agent, please understand that you do not have to deal directly with that agent. In fact, in many cases, the listing agent is NOT allowed to represent the buyer due to potential conflict of interest.
